Ruby Jean Dunham, age 87, of Elsie, Michigan, died Sunday, March 28th, 2010 at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor.
Funeral Services will be held at Elsie United Methodist Church, on Thursday, April 1st at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Edwin Snook and Pastor Fred Fisher will officiate. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery Elsie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, Michigan.
Ruby was born in Rochester Colony, Michigan on May 30, 1922, the daughter of Hugh and Edna (Lyon) McCullough. On August 5, 1931 Ruby married Lyle Dunham in Rochester Colony, Michigan, Lyle died March 8, 1999. She resided most of her life in Elsie and graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1940.
She was a retired cook from the Elsie Junior High School. She was a member of the Hobby Club, Binko Club, and she was the happiest when her family was all at home. Ruby looked forward to camp meeting at the Michigan Holiness Camp in Eaton Rapids, where she was the cook, she enjoyed reading and was a member of the Women's Literary Club and she was formerly active in the 4-H Program in Shiawassee County. She was also a member of Elsie United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son David and Kathie Dunham of Ovid, MI; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 sister Juanita and Gerald Carroll of Elsie, MI. Many nieces & nephews also survive her.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter Sharon Olson, brother Gordon McCullough.
