Rudolph Pokorny

Rudolph Richard Pokorny, age 80, of Elsie, Michigan died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at his home.

There will be no services.

Rudolph was born in Elsie, Michigan on September 8, 1930, the son of Rudolph and Anna (Demyanovi) Pokorny. Rudy served his country in the US Army and was a member of the VFW. In 1955 he married Maxine Anna Courter; Maxine predeceased him on July 30, 2009. He resided most of his life in the Elsie area. Rudy was a retired farmer and he had also retired from Michigan Milk Producers in Ovid, Michigan. In his earlier years he worked at Motor Wheel in Lansing.

He is survived by his daughter Marie Pokorny of Lansing, Michigan, 2 sons; Larry and Maggie Pokorny of Owosso, Michigan, Marvin Pokorny of Tennessee, 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 1 sister Patricia Cech, 3 brothers; Edward & Loretta, Eugene & Alice, Carl & Jean Pokorny, and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, and 2 brothers Gary & Robert.
