Rudolph "Rudy" Duane Shepardson age 49 of Blanchard, Michigan died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at the University of Michigan Medical Center Ann Arbor, MI.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 1:00 PM at New Beginnings Church of Six Lakes. Pastor Dick Eldred will officiate with burial at Vinewood Cemetery Edmore, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to service at the church.

Rudy was born in Big Rapids, Michigan on September 9, 1955 the son of Donald Duane and Hazel Ann ( Malone ) Shepardson. He resided most of her life in Edmore and Blanchard, Michigan. He graduated from Montabella High School with the class of 1974. Rudy married Lory Sheets in Lapeer County, Michigan on October 6, 1990. He worked for McBride Quality Care as a direct care worker. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his children and family.

He is survived by his wife Lory Shepardson of Blanchard, MI, father Duane & Betty Shepardson of Edmore, MI, 3 children; Aleshia Williams of Manton, MI, Ronnie Shepardson at home, Aleaha Shepardson at home, 1 grandson Tristen, 2 brothers; Edward & Jane Shepardson of Kalkaska, MI, Norman & Susan Shepardson of West Branch, MI, sister Diann & Mike Richards of Nashville, MI, mother-in-law Marilyn Surgener of Lum, MI, sister-in-law Tamberly & Steven Koenig of Falls Church, WV, brother-in-law Richard & Nancy Sheets of Oxford, MI, and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Hazel on April 10, 1991.

Memorials may be made to the family. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
