Rudolpho Albarez

Rudolpho Albarez, age 42, of Ionia, MI, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Sparrow Health Systems Sparrow Campus, Lansing, MI.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Rudolpho was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 28, 1979, the son of Darrell Wampler and Janie Albarez. Rudy married Jodi Rogers on June 18, 2009, in Charlotte, MI.

Rudy loved cooking for and feeding his family and friends.  He enjoyed music, Michigan State sports, and UFC fight night with his friends and family.  He was a member of The Young Turks and was a huge advocate for human rights.

Rudy faced many health challenges throughout his entire life but he always continued to think of others and put their needs first.  He will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor, his love of life, love for others and his heart of gold.  His family was most important to him and he cherished time with his son Adrien whom he had an amazing relationship with.

He is survived by his wife Jodi Albarez, son Adrien Albarez, dad Darrell Wampler, brother Derek Wampler, grandmother Bonnie Stansbury, grandmother Ramona Rodriguez, and grandmother Lois Bendt. He is also survived by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mom Janie Albarez, daughter Alyse, two aunts: Debra Curtis, Mary Cortez, and his grandpas: Bill Stansbury and Leroy Bendt.
