Ruth Bowden

Ruth Elaine Bowden age 74 of Lennon, Michigan died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Mike Prince will officiate with burial at Greenwood Cemetery Vernon, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 2-8 p.m. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

Ruth was born in New Lothrop, Michigan on April 1, 1934 the daughter of Percy and Donna ( Dillon ) Keyser. She resided most of her life in the Durand and Lennon areas and graduated from Durand High School. Ruth married Milo Bowden in Durand, Michigan. Ruth was an Avon Representative for 40 years out of her home. She enjoyed her animals, gardening, her friends, and doing puzzles.

She is survived by her sons; Lyle Scott & Jacque Whiting of Mt. Morris, MI, Derrick Whiting of Lennon, MI, Dalon Bowden of Lansing, MI, grandchildren; David Peet, Jason Whiting, Ashlee Bowden, Tyler Bowden, great grandchildren; Catlin Peet, Lacie Peet, sister June Marsh, and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
