Ruth L. Conrad, age 65, of Owosso, MI passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1:00 PM, Pastor Susan Kingsley will officiate. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 from 6-8 PM and Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso.
Ruth was born in Corunna, Michigan on November 22, 1942, the daughter of Arthur and Ada (Davis) Kinney. Ruth married Harry Conrad on Nov. 22, 1968 in Bancroft, MI. She resided most of her life in Shiawassee County. Ruth was a cosmetologist and enjoyed doing hair for the elderly. She liked crafts, and she was an avid bowler. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a big part of her life and she loved to sing with them. Ruth also loved to fish.
She is survived by her husband Harry Conrad of Owosso, MI, 7 children; Rhonda and Douglas King of Owosso, MI, Lorie and Rick German of Campbellsville, TN, Lonnie and Pam Spencer of Howell, MI, Kathy and Dave Kersjes of St. Johns, MI, Carmen and Mike Domanski of Grand Rapids, MI, Tara and Leon Witherell of Owosso, MI, Ada Conrad and Terri Floate of Owosso, MI, lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and 6 sisters; Virginia and William Runyan of Corunna, MI, Pat and Ray Dean of Harrison, MI, Mary Pennell of Owosso, MI, Nancy Hayes of Owosso, MI, Esther Daniels of Owosso, MI, and Shirley Schmidtfranz of Owosso, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers, Arthur & Edward Kinney, a sister, Marge Leader and her first husband, Leroy Spencer who passed away in 1967.
