Ruth Taylor Harris age 95 of Ovid, Michigan died Thursday, April 1, 2004 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 2, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Owosso Church of Christ, Owosso, Michigan. Pastor Donald Imel will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday April 3, 2004 6-8 P.M. and Sunday, April 4, 2004 from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Home, Corunna Chapel.
Ruth was born in Fairfield Township, Michigan on March 18, 1909 the daughter of Earl and Gladys ( Curtis ) Darling. She attended Carland and Ovid Schools. She was married to Paul Taylor, her childrena�(TM)s father who predeceased her. She was married to Fred Harris who also predeceased her. Ruth was a homemaker. She also worked for Corunna Drug Store, Universal Electric, of Owosso and retired from D.M. Christian Store in Owosso, MI. She loved her flowers, and raised Hybrid Roses. Ruth enjoyed crocheting and watching birds, Cardinals were her favorite. She was a member of Owosso Church of Christ, in Owosso, Michigan. She resided most of her life in the Ovid and Corunna area.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Dorothy Mae Monroe of Georgia, Shirley & Richard Bramer of Corunna, MI, Her sons, Donald & Dorothy Taylor of Owosso, MI, twin sons Harold & Betty Taylor & Gerald & Marie Taylor all of Owosso, MI, Duane & Patricia Taylor of Charlevoix, MI, 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and many many great great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Erma Kadolph of Owosso, MI, Dorothy Clark of Chesaning, MI, and 3 brothers Duane & Jo Darling of Bancroft, MI, her twin brothers Ernest & Inez Darling of Florida, and Elwin & Helen Darling of Bay City, MI.
She was predeceased by her parents, 2 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Memorials may be made to Owosso Church of Christ and the Salvation Army. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
