Ruth Hughes

Ruth Hughes, age 84, of Ithaca, MI and formerly of Livonia, MI passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 1:00 P.M., Pastor Randy Stehouwer will officiate. Visitation with her family will be held on Saturday from 12-1 PM.

Ruth was born in Lynch, Kentucky on October 29, 1925, the daughter of James Clarence and Maud Ann (Hawkins) Long. Ruth resided most of her life in the Livonia, MI area before moving to Ithaca in 1994.

Ruth retired from Fischer Body in Livonia, MI. She loved to be with and spend time with her family. She held a special place in her heart for her granddaughters and great-grandson. Her life was dedicated to the Lord.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda and Terry (Graham) Brown of Ithaca, MI, son Glenn Hughes of Mt. Pleasant, MI, granddaughters; Jennifer Graham of Saginaw, MI, Gina and Sam (Graham) Knopf of Riverdale, MI, and great grandson Jaxson Skeith.
