Ruth Nuismer

Ruth Louise (Olsen) Nuismer, age 88, died Friday, May 15, 2009 at Masonic Pathways, Alma, Michigan.

Services will be held at the graveside in Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey, Michigan on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 2:00 P.M.

Ruth is survived by her son Donald of Sandusky, Ohio; son Larry (and Pat Freeman) of Traverse City, Michigan; daughter JoEllen (and husband Brent) Ririe of Gilbert, Arizona; son John of Tacoma, Washington; and son Anthony (and Larry Olivier) of Tucson, Arizona; eleven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph, her infant son Richard, and her son Robert.

Born November 25, 1920 to Celia and Eli Olsen in Petoskey, Michigan, Ruth also lived in Port Clinton, Ohio, Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee in addition to Traverse City, Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, and Alpena, Michigan. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints in Petoskey, Ruth served a mission in the Chicago Temple after the death of her husband, Joseph to whom she was eternally married in the Salt Lake City, Utah temple.
