Ruth Ann Sherman, age 73, of Elsie, Michigan passed away Tuesday morning, July 3, 2012 at her home.

A Funeral Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel, Elsie, MI on Friday July 6, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Fr. Marcel Portelli officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI.

Ruth was born in Adrian, Michigan on June 22, 1939, the daughter of Roy H. and Marie V. (Reese) Feller. On February 26, 1983 she married Lloyd A. Sherman in Lansing, Michigan. Ruth resided most of her life in the Lansing and Elsie areas. She worked for General Motors in Lansing, Michigan retiring in 1988. She also bought and sold antiques and collectibles for many years.

She is survived by her husband Lloyd Sherman of Elsie, MI, daughter Tonja and Jacob Jones of Lansing, MI, 2 sons; Clifton Ott of Lansing, MI, David Ott of Lansing, MI, stepchildren; Charlene, Sonya, and Lloyd Jr, grandchildren; Nathan Ott, Joshua Jones, Zachery Jones, and a number of other grandchildren, 2 sisters; Lorna, Raphaela, and 2 brothers; Gerald and Michael. She was predeceased by her parents, and a stepdaughter Cheryl.
