Ruth Woodruff

Ruth Woodruff, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the age of 66. Born July 4, 1945 in Muir, MI, she was the daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Guild) Harrington. Ruth retired from Ovid-Elsie High School where she was a cafeteria cook. She was a member of the First Church of God in Owosso as well as a member of the Ovid Fire Department Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, Ovid-Elsie Band Boosters, and led a campaign for Cystic Fibrosis. Ruth married Eugene Woodruff on May 8, 1965, in Ovid, MI and he survives her.

Ruth is also survived by her daughters, Stacy Woodruff, Karen (Joe Ranger) Crambell, Kathy (Joe Maurice) Woodruff, Rachel (Randy Perrien) Sutliff, eight grandchildren, one sister, Patricia Harrington, as well as two brothers, Raymond (Sandi) Harrington and Lester (Beth) Harrington. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Wayne Woodruff.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 4, 2012, at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes in Ovid, with Pastor Ed Schweikert officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name to the American Cancer Society or the First Church of God of Owosso.
