Ryan Michael Lewis

     Ryan Michael Lewis, age 52, of Elsie, MI, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI, on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
     Ryan was born in Owosso, MI, on April 10, 1972, the son of Michael Ward and Karen Ann (Hawley) Lewis. Shortly after graduating from Ovid-Elsie High School, with the class of 1990, he enlisted and proudly served his country in the United States Army as a “COMSEC,” Communications Security Specialist, which carried over to him operating his own business, Lewis Technical Industries which he operated until his passing.
      In 2005, he was a blessed with the birth of his daughter, Rylee. He was so proud of her and her many accomplishments, especially her playing tennis at college level, where she received many academic scholarships, where she is studying Pre-Vet Medical School, at Olivet College.
     Ryan had many great childhood memories running the river bottoms with his bow and fishing pole, which ultimately led him and Stacey to start Lewis Lodge in Missouri in 2005, where he pursued his passion in the hunting industry guiding many deer hunters to the trophy of their dreams. Ryan also enjoyed his many hunting trips to Africa, Canada, and all across the U.S. as well as many fishing trips with Rylee, Mike, and many other friends to Florida, Canada, and anywhere else he could wet a line. He also enjoyed spending time at Just in Time Campground, where he would spend time with his family and friends.
     He is survived by his daughter Rylee Lewis; Rylee’s mother Stacey and Mike Lewis-Pokorny; his sister Leann Lewis; his nephew Colby and Amber Putnam; and his niece Madalyn Putnam and Aric Timm. He is also survived by his bonus parents Ron and Regina Bush; special friends: Dan and Wendy Bush; and Dave and Niki Kirby. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
