Sandra M. (Massie) Hunt, age 67, of Marshall, MI passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at Lifestand Good Samaritan Hospice Residence, Battle Creek, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Leo Cumings will officiate. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 24, 2010 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Sandra was born in Flint, Michigan on February 22, 1943, the daughter of Clement Clifford and Onnalee Eleanor (Gundry) Massie. She was a graduate of Owosso High School and resided most of her life in Owosso moving to Marshall in 1992. Sandy married Richard Hunt on July 5, 1972 in Owosso, MI.
Sandy retired from the State of Michigan in the Education and Rehabilitation Department in 1998. She also had worked as a Court Recorder for Shiawassee County. Sandy loved tennis, hockey or any sport. She enjoyed reading, fishing, bird watching and camping.
Sandy is survived by her husband Richard Hunt of Marshall, MI, daughter Michelle Hunt-Ruggles of Sandusky, OH, son Ryan Hunt of Olivet, MI, daughter Denise and Terry Beasley of Port Huron, MI, grandchildren; Charlie, Samantha, Ashley, Isaac, Lydia and Simon. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Dennis Massie.
