Sanford Ross Plummer of Owosso, Michigan passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at his winter home in San Bonito, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Bible Church, Owosso, MI. Rev. Roger Rose will officiate. Graveside Services will be held at Plummerville Cemetery in Ganges, MI. on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 2-5 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.

Sanford was born June, 14, 1925 to Louis Frank and Bertha ( Keith ) Plummer in Ganges, Michigan. He was the middle child of seven boys and four girls born to the couple. He graduated from South Haven High School and joined the Army Air Corp. He served in the Pacific Theater as a crew chief and in-flight mechanic on the B-24. After receiving an honorable discharge at the end of the war he married Joyce Eddy of Ann Arbor and Douglas, MI. Sanford attended Michigan State College, where he was in the Agricultural Program. His career included positions as farm manager, farm equipment sales, Chevrolet sales and 25 years with Farm Credit Services as branch manager. Sanford was a Mason, a member of the VFW and a longtime member of Kiwanis, where he served as Lt. Governor. He was also a member of Grace Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Plummer of Owosso, MI, two sons; Rusty of Onondaga, MI, Keith & Danette of Tishomingo, OK, daughter, Marde of Pine Bluff, AR, seven dearly loved grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Benjamin (Joellen), one sister and three brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Kiwanis Club's children's ministry. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
