Sharon Louise Brennan "Granny", age 67, of Ithaca, MI passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Ingham Regional Medical Center, Lansing, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2011 and on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel.
Sharon was born in Lansing, Michigan on April 16, 1944, the daughter of Russell James and Vivien Ruth (Emery) Swart Jr. Sharon worked for the Gratiot County Commission on Aging for 7 years. She enjoyed muzzleloading and teaching younger children how to shoot muzzle's at Broken Lock of Alma. Sharon also liked to make quilts as presents for her family and others. She especially liked to sew and make costumes. Most of all she treasured the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by 3 daughters; Nanette and Harry Warr, Mindy Miller and James Campfield, Tamara Morton, 1 son Thomas Morton, significant other John Freed, 10 grandchildren; Abigail and Jeremy Heimsoth, Troy and Jenny Jenks, Audrey Gutzki and Aaron Kemp, Adrienne Gutzki, Trevor Morton and Lexi Campbell, Clark Miller, Travis Morton, Dominque Wilson, Jolyn Miller, Tara Hopkins and 4 great grandchildren; Aiden and Evan Jenks, Elsa Heimsoth, and Ashlyn Kemp. She is also survived by 2 sisters; Sheryl McKay, Dawn and David Akin, 2 brothers; Rusty and Kathy Swart, Bruce and Annette Swart and many nieces & nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents.
