Sharon Kindel

Sharon L. Kindel, age 71, of Ithaca, MI died Wednesday, August 28, 2013.

Funeral Services will be held at First Church of God, Alma, MI on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Steve Wimmer officiating. Burial will follow at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI.

Sharon was born in Alma, MI on August 18, 1942, the daughter of Jay H. and Helen M. (Foster) Reed. Sharon married Raymond G. Kindel on August 26, 1961. Sharon formerly worked for Commercial National Bank in Pompeii and retired from Bank of Alma after 20 years of service. She enjoyed Christmas with her family, camping, quilting, cross stitching, puzzles, reading, collected lighthouses, spoons and magnets. Sharon was a member of First Church of God, Alma, MI.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ray Kindel of Ithaca, MI, son Alan and Cindy Kindel of Holt, MI, daughter Michelle and Kurt Kalisek of Ithaca, MI, son Kevin and Lori Kindel of Ithaca, MI, son Mark and Angela Kindel of Pompeii, MI, 12 grandchildren, mother-in-law Carol Kindel of Ashley, MI, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marilyn and Glen Crook of Alma, MI. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law Gerald Kindel.
