Sharon Martin

Sharon Ann Martin age 74, of Alma, MI, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, on Monday, June 18, 2018, at 1:00 P.M., with Dr. Keith Wise officiating. Burial will take place at Fritz Cemetery, Newark Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

Sharon was born in Newark Township, MI on December 11, 1943, the daughter of Ned W. and Doris C. (Sparks) Martin. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1962.

Sharon formerly worked as a nurse's aid for Brown's Nursing Home in Perrinton and also at Redmond Motor's in Ithaca. In Sharon's younger years she played softball and played the piano and organ. Sharon enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and talking with friends and family. She loved the children in her family and always enjoyed hearing about her nieces and nephews. She was a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI.

She is survived by 3 sisters: Sandra and Paul  Felzke of Dewitt, MI;  Sally and Jim Weller of Middleton, MI; Sue and Ray Forman of Elk Lake, MI; 2 brothers: Allan and Rose  Martin of Owosso, MI; and Danny and Beth Martin of St. Johns, MI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and 4 great great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.
