Shelia Delores (Blood) Quigley

      Sheila Delores Quigley, age 72, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.

      A Memorial Service will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, St. Johns, MI, at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 3, 2024, with Pastor Dan Towar officiating. 

      Sheila was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 8, 1951, the daughter of Richard Eugene and Margaret Jean (Schultz) Blood.  She graduated from St. Johns High School with the Class of 1970.   On May 14, 1971, Sheila married Daniel Raymond Francis Quigley at the First United Methodist Church in St. Johns, Michigan.  They were blessed with nearly fifty years of marriage prior to his passing on February 10, 2021. They were members of St. Johns Seventh-day Adventist Church.

      Sheila loved music. Her neighbors enjoyed listening to her singing on her front porch. She also played the accordion and harp. Sheila was a pet lover, especially cats and birds. She enjoyed tending her garden. Sheila was a people person and always enjoyed an opportunity to spend time with others. She was a great story teller and was always ready with a good joke.

      She is survived by her son Matthew Quigley of Haslett, MI; her daughter Rebekah (Dale) Mulder, Jr. of Ovid, MI; grandson Dale Mulder; three sisters: Dena (Jerry) Minarik, Bonnie (Doug) Conrad, and Katrina Bishop; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel Raymond Francis Quigley, and brothers: Vincent Blood, and Steven Blood.
