Sherline Rohde

Sherline May (Gokee) Rohde, age 58, of Owosso, MI passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at her home with her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM, Rev. LaDonna Stewart will officiate. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 11-8 PM and Friday, December 5, 2008 from 12-2 PM prior to the service at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel.

Sherline was born in Owosso, Michigan on August 9, 1950, the daughter of Bernard and Isabelle (Herrick) Minnick. She resided all of her life in Owosso. Sherline married Larry Rohde on August 14, 1986. He passed away on February 21, 1997. Sherline was a patient of the Breslin Cancer Center of Lansing. Sherline loved to crochet, play Bingo, camping, fishing and most of all watching her son's race cars.

She is survived by daughter Charlene and Richard Sheldon, III of Owosso, MI; 2 sons: Rick and Mandy Gokee of Owosso, MI, & Jim and Cheri Gokee of Owosso, MI; 4 grandchildren: James Junior, Shelby, Hannah, and Blake; sister Sharon and Steve Kurncz of Owosso, MI; brother Bernie and Robin Minnick, Jr. of Owosso, MI; her special little nurse Holly Minnick, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Rohde, parents, brother, Ernie in infancy and a niece, Sherry Lyn Skornicka.
