Sheryl Davis

Sheryl Lee Davis age 62, of Ashley, MI, passed away suddenly Friday, September 21, 2018, at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Midland.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.  Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI.  Visitation will be held 4-8 P.M. on Monday, September 24, 2018 and on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI.

Sheryl was born in Alma, Michigan on December 19, 1955, the daughter of Robert and Zelma (Young) Nestle.  She graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1974.  On April 5, 1975, Sheryl married Gilbert Davis at the Shepherd United Methodist Church.

Sheryl was a lifelong farm wife who was passionate about her family and doing things for them.  She enjoyed taking pictures, shopping, and collecting purses.  She also like to do cross-stitch and painting pumpkins.  Sheryl loved helping Gilbert on the farm, going to the UP, snowmobiling and their time at the cabin.  Attending the grandkids' 4H, sporting and school events was top priority for Sheryl.  She was known for always having a bright smile on her face.

Sheryl is survived by her husband Gilbert of Ashley; son Wayne (Katie Stelzer) Davis of Moran; daughter Kelly (Jason) Becker of Wheeler; granddaughter Julie Becker and grandson Derek Becker.  She is also survived by her brother Jerry (Kim) Nestle, Gilbert's siblings:  Ken (Janet) Davis, Judy (Joe) Milett, and Ron (Janet) Davis; and many nephews and a niece.  Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Leo (Annabelle) Davis.
