Shirley Mae (Luckhardt) Bogan age 81 of Bath, MI, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Joe Robbe officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI.

Shirley was born in Detroit, MI on July 10, 1935, the daughter of Robert and Edna Mae (Frost) Harvey.  She was a graduate of South Lyon High School.

Shirley worked at Ashley Community Schools as a Secretary to the Superintendent from 1965-1976.  She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in 1991 and worked at the Bogan Insurance Agency in Brighton, MI until 1993.  Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, writing poems and doing crossword puzzles.  She loved to watch sports and was an avid U of M football, Detroit Red Wings and Tigers fan.

Shirley is survived by her daughters; Linda and Darell Loar of Clare, MI, Kathy and Bruce McAttee of Bath, MI, grandchildren; Makayla (Steve) Smith, Chris (Cathie) VanTilburg, Jerad Luckhardt, Chad Dana, Gregory VanTilburg, Ashleigh (Greg Rupprecht) VanTilburg, Nicholas (Rachelle) Dana, Teddi Marie McAttee, Brandy (Tim) Retherford, and Bret (Michelle) Loar, great-grandchildren; Christopher Hennigan, Kyla and Alyssa Smith, Brody Rupprecht, Noah King, Khyler Dana, Tanner Lambdin, Isaac Loar, Skyler Walters and Cayden Walters, daughter-in-law Diana Luckhardt of Bannister, MI, and sister Catherine Stamper of Port Richey, FL.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Shirley was preceded in death by her mother Edna Lakvold, father Robert Harvey, son Ken Luckhardt and daughter Sharon VanTilburg, brother James MacFarlane, sister Patriciann Johnson, brother-in-law James Forest Stamper and grandparents.
