Shirley Ann Bramer age 68 of Corunna, Michigan was received into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 15, 2005 with her beloved husband and son by her side at St. Mary Health Care, Grand Rapids, MI.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Pastor Dwight Webster will officiate. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service
Shirley was born in Durand, Michigan on January 15, 1937 the daughter of Paul Ottis and Ruth Mae ( Darling ) Taylor. She graduated from Corunna High School, with the class of 1955, where she was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. She resided most of her life in Corunna and Vernon, Michigan. On July 2, 1965 she married Richard (Dick) Bramer at the Vernon Methodist Church. They celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary this past summer.
Shirley was a talented painter of acrylic and oils, mostly that of flowers and landscapes, which she gave as gifts to her family and friends. She also loved to write poetry. She had a generous heart for her family, friends, and to those in need. She was the Shia Alley Clown "Mert".
Those left to cherish her life are her husband Richard "Dick" Bramer of Corunna, MI, 1 daughter Kimberly Bruno of Corunna, MI, 2 sons; Jim & Shawn Aldrich of Owosso, MI, Ross & Lara Bramer of Corunna, MI, 3 step-sons; Rich & Linda Bramer of Rockford, MI, Dan & Sue Bramer of Maple Rapids, MI, Rob & Chris Bramer of Olivet, MI, 13 grandchildren;Lisa & (Shawn) Hasyn, Amy & Kaitlin Bruno, Britney &(Tyler) Aldrich, Kellie & (Matt) Krause, Jason & (Jolene) Bramer, Scott, Heather, and Jessie Bramer, Calen, Cameron, & Kiler Bramer, 6 great grandchildren; Parker & Madalyn Hasyn, Jacob & Mason Krause, Alex & Ian Bramer, 1sister Dorothy Monroe of Greensboro, GA, 4 brothers; Don & Dorothy Taylor, Gerald & Marie Taylor, Herald & Betty Taylor, and Duane & Pat Taylor of Charlevoix, Michigan, many dear nieces, nephews, and close friends, and her little dog Spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, and step-son Brett Bramer.
Memorials may be made to Corunna High School Sports and Arts Programs or to RAVE.
