Shirley Sterling

Shirley Ann Sterling age 71 of St. Louis, Michigan died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Schnepps Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Porter Free Methodist Church Breckenridge, MI on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Ron Fredrick will officiate with burial at Russellville Cemetery Benson, AZ. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 for one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the church.

Shirley was born in Porter Township, Michigan on November 12, 1936 the daughter of Roy Alfred and Ethel Grace ( Breidinger ) Miller. She lived in Michigan until 1985 when she moved to Arizona. She attended Breckenridge school and earned her GED in St. Louis, MI. Shirley married Lionel Phillip Sterling on June 26, 1953 in Breckenridge, MI. He died in May of 1998. Shirley was a homemaker and she babysat. She also had worked at Wolverine Shoe Factory. She enjoyed flea markets and garage sales. Shirley was a member of Porter Free Methodist Church, Breckenridge, MI and the First Baptist Church in Benson, AZ.

She is survived by 4 children; Pam & Mel Slocum of Ecuador, Ron & Vicky Sterling of Benson, AZ, Buck Sterling of Orland, IN, Nancy & Bob Shinabargar of Breckenridge, MI, 6 grandchildren:, several great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Laura Northrup, Ella Edwards, Bethel St. John, and 4 brothers; Lynn Miller, Jerry Miller, Leo Miller, Roy Miller Jr. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and 3 sisters Joy, Doris, and Hazel.

Memorials may be made to Porter Free Methodist Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.
