Shirley Ann Taylor age 71 of Corunna, Michigan died on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center, Flint, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at First Free Methodist Church, Owosso, Michigan on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, from 2-8 p.m. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the First Free Methodist Church, 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mark Kincaid and Rev. Burton Kincaid will officiate and burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, Michigan.
Shirley was born at Sterling, Michigan on June 22, 1936 the daughter of James Allison and Eva May (Seder) Shephard. She graduated from Sterling High School and resided most of her life in the Owosso and Corunna areas. On January 11, 1958 Shirley married Bobby Taylor in Owosso, who survivers her.
Shirley worked at General Telephone for 10 years. She loved her cats, enjoyed getting ice cream and going for rides. She also liked to read and enjoyed family visits. Family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of First Free Methodist Church, where she was a very active.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Taylor of Corunna, Michigan, daughters, Denise (fiancé, Patrick Tkaczyk) Taylor of Owosso, Michigan, Lisa & Joseph Hickey of Owosso, Michgan, grandchildren, Michael Kirby, Jason Kirby, Malynn Rose Hickey and many cousins. She was predecesed by her parents and a brother in infancy, Lowell Shephard.
Memorial may be made to First Free Methodist Church. Owosso, Michigan.
