     Stanford "John" Adams, Jr., age 69, of Alma, MI, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, at his daughter's home surrounded by his family.

     In following John's wishes, a cremation has taken place and a family celebration will take place at a later date. Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI at a later date.

     Stanford "John" was born in Flint, Michigan on April 1, 1954, the son of Stanford John Sr. and Marjorie Rosalie (Rogers) Adams.   On April 12, 1975, John married Teresa Ann Pennington in Phoenix, AZ. They were married forty-three years prior to her passing on May 11, 2018.

    John dearly loved his family and spending time with them. He was a generous man and always helping his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and anything out of doors. John enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona. He was the sexton for the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant for over 10 years. John and Teresa were members of Meridian Church of God in Sanford for many years.

    He is survived by his son John (Jaime) Adams of Midland, MI; daughter Melissa Adams of Alma, MI; five grandchildren: Chelsie (Devon) Bessemer, Katelyn (Tye Noah) Adams, Nicholas Adams, Jayden (CJ Brown) Adams, and Isaac Hale; two-great grandchildren: Lincoln, and Walter; and four siblings: Deborah Bradshaw, Denise (Michael) Wade, David Adams, and Alan Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Teresa, and three siblings: Nancy (Jay) Dempsey, James Beach, and Albert Adams.
