Stefan A. Mikulka, III

      Stefan A. Mikulka, III, age 82, of Elsie, MI, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at his home.

       Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, Michigan on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. with Kathleen Krancich officiating.  Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI.  Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home

      Stefan was born in Carson City, Michigan on November 30, 1941, the first born of Stephan (Steve) and Marie Emma (Marton) Mikulka, Jr.  Steve graduated from Ashley High School with the Class of 1960.  He worked for Lear Corporation in Elsie, and other small factories around Michigan.  Steve's final years of work and retirement were at Ogihara, an auto parts manufacturer in Howell, MI.

     Steve enjoyed getting together with family for holiday meals.  He especially enjoyed the board games afterward.  Steve was also an avid Harley Davidson rider, and loved playing Euchre and other card games. 

      He is survived by his daughter Laurie (Donald) Hulett of Alabama; sons: Greg Mikulka of South Dakota and Damian Mikulka of Arizona; his siblings: Kathryn (Ron) McNeill, Patricia (Thane) Belen, and Betty (Ken) Drewyor.  He is also survived by grandchildren: Michelle and Andrew (Amber); great-grandchildren: Jayce, Aiden, Lilyanne, and Alaina.  He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.  Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Marie, and his brothers: Luke Mikulka and John (Darlene) Mikulka.
