Stephanie Stefanek age 92 of Ovid, Michigan formerly of Bannister, Michigan, died on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, Michigan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan, on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2006 from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.

Stephanie was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 29, 1913, the daughter of Stephan & Rose ( Rajec ) Stefanek and resided most of her life in the Bannister, Michigan area. She was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan; she had worked at the church for many years doing various jobs.

Survivors include, special friends, David & JoAnn Fogarty of Elsie, Michigan, Phil & Sheila Hanus of Ashley, Michigan, 1 sister in law, Jean Stefanek of Bannister, Michigan, several nieces & nephews and her St. Cyrila�(TM)s family where her church was her life. She was predeceased by her parents, 4 brothers, Thomas, Joseph, John, Edward.

Memorial can be made to the St. Cyril's Altar Society in her memory. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
