Stuart M. Prikasky age 78, of Alma, MI, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017, peacefully at his home with his family at his side.
Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2 P.M., with Pastor Debbie Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, MI.
Stuart was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 16, 1938, the son of Martin Frank and Bernice Elva (Coleman) Prikasky. On April 27, 1963 he married Barbara Jane Walkington in Ithaca, MI. Stuart served his country in the U.S. Marines. He worked for Diamond Reo in Lansing, MI, until it’s closing; he then worked as a millwright for Oldsmobile for 20 years, retiring in 2002. He was also a farmer. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, cooking and grilling and working with metal.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Prikasky of Alma, MI, 2 sons; Jeffrey and Cheryl Prikasky of Burleson, TX, Ricky Prikasky, of Ithaca, MI, 3 grandsons; Nicholas Prikasky, Samuel Prikasky, Lucas Prikasky, and sister in law Lucie Prikasky. He was predeceased by his parents, twin daughters Rhonda & Renee, son Bryan Prikasky, sister Lucille Newman, brother Marvin Prikasky, brother in law Howard Newman, step brothers; Victor Hubbard and William Hubbard, and step sister in law Shirley Hubbard.
