Sue Dumond

Sue A. Dumond, age 55, of Corunna, MI passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Keith McKinnies will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday July 5, 2010 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.

Sue was born in Flint, Michigan on March 6, 1955, the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Kocher) Broughton. She was a graduate of Central High School, Flint and resided most of her life in the New Lothrop area. Sue married Larry Dumond on March 17, 1979 in Burton, MI.

Sue enjoyed spending time with children and volunteered at New Lothrop Elementary School. Spending time outdoors, playing cards and spending time with her family were just a few of her favorite things. She was a member of the Lioness club in New Lothrop.

She is survived by her husband Larry Dumond of Corunna, MI, son Larry and Kristy Dumond of New Lothrop, MI, 2 daughters; Nicole and Phil Demeter of Minot, ND, Brandye and Tom Hunt of Lansing, MI, 2 grandchildren; Keegan and Amaya Hunt, parents-in-law Dale and Donna Dumond of Elsie, MI, step-father Robert Eaton of Clio, MI, 5 brothers; Kevin and Betty Broughton of Flint, MI, James and Ann Marie Broughton of Flushing, MI, Donald Broughton, Troy Middleton, and Matt Middleton.

Sue was preceded in death by her father Russell & Sidney Broughton, mother Dorothy Eaton and brother Kim Broughton.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, Michigan.
