Susan L. Wolfinger (Geller), loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2011, while wintering in Florida. Sue was born on July 3, 1949, in New Bedford, MA, and grew up in St. Johns, MI. She graduated from Rodney B. Wilson H.S. and retired from the State of Michigan after more than 30 years of service. During retirement she enjoyed spending the summers at Houghton Lake and winters in Florida. Sue also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gregory Wolfinger, daughter, Amy (Roberto) Castillo, son, Jeffrey, special son William Banks, sisters, Pat (Chuck) LaPeer, Debbie Heinritz, brothers, Bruce and Richard Geller, grandchildren, LeeVon (Shanna) Castillo, Chaz Castillo, soon to be welcomed great grandchild and her dog Barney. She was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Geller, father, Jerome Geller and brother, Michael.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at the Osgood Funeral Home, with Pastor Hugh Banniga officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Contributions may be made in memory of Susan to M.A.D.D. or charity of donor's choice.
