Terry Lee Bishop

     Terry Lee Bishop, age 76, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at his home.

     Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Monday, January 8, 2024, with Military Honors at 2:00 P.M.  Burial will be at North Star Cemetery at a later date.

     Terry was born in St. Johns, Michigan on August 13, 1947, the son of Loyal J. and Margaret Louise (Whitford) Bishop. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.   On November 9, 1969, Terry married Colleen Faye Ceasar at the Lansing Seventh Day Adventist Church. They have been married fifty-four years. Terry worked at Motor Wheel for 21 years and later worked at Randolph's.

     Terry enjoyed working on cars. He would take his family camping at Ludington to camp and fish. He liked watching sports and Christmas movies. He meticulously maintained his lawn and loved to drive his lawn mower around town. Terry dearly loved his family and always wanted to know what they were doing.

     He is survived by his wife Colleen, three children: Renae (Bill Thompson) Makara of Elsie, MI; Kevin (Heather) Bishop of St. Johns, MI; and Rebecca Bishop of St. Johns, MI; five grandchildren: Jacob Makara, Ranee (Tyler) Devereaux, Zackary (Rachel)Bishop, Alexis Bishop, and Antonio Cantu; and three great-grandchildren; brother Randall Bishop, brother-in-law Roger Teems, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Richard Bishop, Daniel (Jean) Bishop, and Rosemary Teems.
