Terry L. Couturier age 55 of Owosso, Michigan passed away at home in the presence of her husband on Sunday April 17, 2005
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19 and Wednesday, April 20 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Pastor John Walworth will officiate with burial at Maple River Cemetery,
Terry was born in Durand, Michigan on December 12, 1949, the daughter of Norman J. & Elaine ( Waddell ) Conn. She attended the Octagon School and Corunna Public Schools graduating in 1968. She married Dr. David S. Couturier on July 2, 1982 in Owosso, MI. She helped him operate the Maple River Veterinary Clinic for 24 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Owosso, MI.
As a youth Terry was a 4-H member for several years with the Rangers Horse Club. She was also active in the American Horse Show Association, and the Palomino Horse Association. She was a delegate from Michigan in the Youth for Understanding 4-H program and spent a summer living with a host family in Denmark.
Terry loved documenting her familya�(TM)s life through photography and scrap booking. She also loved to sew, make crafts, play cards and entertain friends. Snowmobiling on winter weekends with friends and family was also a passion of hers. Terry was an avid supporter of her sona�(TM)s Motocross Racing and his #1 fan. Terry also enjoyed the outdoors through hunting and fishing, taking several trips to WaWa, Ontario and Alaska.
Terrya�(TM)s life was filled with her family and many friends. She gave a large part of her life to caring for all of us in so many ways, both physically and emotionally. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was always there to share with others. Terry taught us all so many things, including how to live, and just as importantly how to die.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman & Elaine Conn, and her grandparents, Sam and Florence Meeker, and Vern Conn.
She is survived by her family; her husband of 22 years David of Owosso, son Shawn, at home, stepmother, Doris Conn of Owosso, sisters; Candace & Richard Osborn of Corunna, Julie & Michael Horak of Owosso, brother Douglas Conn of Owosso, nephew Brian Beldyga of Grand Rapids, nieces; Andrea Beldyga of Kalamazoo, Megan Horak of Lansing, and Jennifer Horak of Kalamazoo, grandmother, Beatrice Kramp of Owosso, step-brothers; Jack & Marilyn Crambell of Henderson, Jim & Brenda Crambell of Henderson, Clark & Linda Crambell of Owosso, step-sisters; Judy & Bob Bushong of Douglas, Wyoming, Linda & Randy Wightman of Owosso, Nancy & Gary Vogl of Owosso, Debbie & Jeff Minton of Owosso, Becky Boyd of Corunna, and Cathy & Tom Campbell of Owosso.
Memorials are suggested to the Shiawassee County Agricultural Society or the Shiawassee County Humane Society. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
