Terry English Sr.

Terry William English Sr., age 73, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI.

According to Terry's wishes cremation has taken place and a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.  He will be laid to rest at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI.

Terry was born in Alma, MI on May 15, 1945, the son of Marion and Cora (Risk) English.  He graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1963.  Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Terry married Janet (Lutge) English on August 3, 1968 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Alma, MI.  They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  Terry and Janet were the proud parents of Kimberly and T.J.

Terry loved to talk and tell stories.  He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party.  Terry never met a stranger.  He was an over the road semi-truck driver for 42 years.  Terry enjoyed anything fast and dangerous - racing motorcycles, Formula cars, and dragsters.  He lived a full life, traveling the country with wife "Boo" at his side, and meeting many different people.

Terry is survived by his wife Janet English; daughter Kimberly (fiance Steve Grodetz) Russell of Schererville, IN; 3 granddaughters: Stephanie (Billy) Green, Rebecca (Gary) Alvaraz, and Danielle (Tyler) Doan; 6 great grandchildren: Haylee, Reaghan, Gavin, Ayla, Addison, and Andrew.  He is also survived by his brother Richard (Margery) English of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews  Terry was preceded in death by his parents, son Terry William "T.J." English Jr., and 2 brothers: Chester English, and James English.
