Terry Gilbert

Terry Evonne Gilbert, age 67, of North Star, MI passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Peter Carlson officiating. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. and Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 11-1 prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Terry was born in Adrian, Michigan on October 17, 1947, the daughter of William Edward and Rita Pearl (Gray) Hoffman. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1975. Terry married Richard Gilbert on December 6, 1963 in Blissfield, MI. Terry was a former Cub Scout Leader, Past Madam President of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Pompeii, and a member of the Knights of Pythians. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother and raising her children. She loved painting landscapes and crocheting.

Terry is survived by her husband Richard Gilbert of North Star, MI, son Jeffery and Deborah Gilbert of Haslett, MI, daughter Roberta and Roger Maxson of Vestaburg, MI, son William and Katherine Gilbert of Alma, MI, son Steven and Barbara Gilbert of Williamsburg, MI, son Scott and Melissa Gilbert of West Bloomfield, MI, 10 grandchildren; Christopher, Kasey, Amanda, Moriah, Samantha, Dylan, Grace, Joseph, Nathan, and Shealyn, 5 great grandchildren; Helena, Keslie, Ellouise, Daniel, and Lydia, and several brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, and multiple brothers and sisters.
