Theresa Ann Ladiski, age 66, of Elsie, MI passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church Ovid, MI on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI. A Rosary will be prayed on Friday at 7:00 P.M.

Theresa was born in Carson City, Michigan on September 1, 1948, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Schneider) Heckman. She graduated from Pewamo-Westphalia High School with the class of 1967. Theresa married Ed Ladiski on May 22, 1971 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pewamo, MI. Ed and Theresa met by mail while Ed was in the service in Germany. They met in person 6 months later, once he returned home.

Theresa loved her grandchildren and Tiger's baseball. She enjoyed baking, cross stitch, bingo, using her Kindle, and reading. She loved listening to her sons, "The Ladiski Brothers" sing and her son Randy's band, "Whiskey Diski & the Barrel Boys." Theresa enjoyed Christmas and the Elsie Dairy Festival. Theresa was a beautician all of her life. She worked at Ovid Healthcare as a nurse's aide for 10 years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Ovid, MI, where she was in charge of planning the funeral dinners.

She is survived by her husband Ed Ladiski, children; Cheryl and Shawn Premo, Jim and Jessi Ladiski, Kevin and Heather Ladiski, Randy Ladiski, 3 grandchildren; Breanna and Brooke Ladiski and Abigail Thomas, siblings; Jean and Louie Schafer, John and Sherry Heckman, Jim and Ellen Heckman, Tom Heckman, Joe and Ruth Heckman, Ken and Joyce Heckman, and Ed and Joan Heckman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Joanne & Mary and brother Don.
