Thomas Davis

Thomas Guy "Tom" Davis age 66, of Bannister, MI, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 1:00 P.M., with Tom Pumford & Duke Wirt officiating.  Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI.  Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Tom was born in Cass City, MI on June 1, 1952, the son of Raymond Guy and Shirley Ann (Friday) Davis.  Tom graduated from Ovid/Elsie High School with the class of 1970.  He worked at Georgia-Pacific in Owosso for over 10 years. Tom then was an over-the-road truck driver until he retired in 2014.

Tom enjoyed playing and watching sports.  He loved playing football and basketball with his sons and other family members.  Tom loved boating.  He was a skilled carpenter and electrician and enjoyed helping others with their projects.  Tom liked working with his brother and father creating many things in their woodshop.

Tom is survived by his mother Shirley Ann Davis of Bannister, 3 children: Thomas (Kim) Davis of Whitmore Lake, Robert Davis of Cass City, and Patricia (Erik) Halvorson of NC; 3 grandchildren: Victoria Davis, Joseph Sieradzki, and Katerina Halvorson; siblings: Debra (Larry) Severance, Ken (Aprile) Davis and Michael Davis; and 6 nieces and nephews: Robin, Lori, Ann, Shannon, Zach, and Nicole.  Tom was preceded in death by his father Raymond, and infant son Thomas.
