Thomas May

Thomas James May age 49, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, on Friday, December 28, 2018, at 1:00 P.M., with Rev. Rodolfo R. Diaz-Pons officiating. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, MI.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. and on Friday from 11 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.

Thomas was born in Alma, MI on April 18, 1969, the son of Fred and JoAnn (Curry) May. He graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1988.  Tom served his country in the U.S. Marines.  On July 16, 2005 he married Amanda Sue Decker in Ithaca, MI. He was a former Sheriff Deputy for Harlan County, KY, and he worked for the State of Michigan as a corrections officer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and riding his Harley motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife Amanda May of Ithaca, MI; daughter Alexandria May of Ithaca, MI; 2 sons: Nicholas May of Ithaca, MI;

Robert Ramereiz of Ithaca, MI; 2 brothers: David and Claudia May of St. Louis, MI; Eddie May of Lansing, MI and his niece Brianna May.  He was predeceased by his parents.
