Thomas Gene McClintic, age 76, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Masonic Pathways, Alma.

Due to the current health concerns, a Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI, with Tom's great nephew, Pastor Matthew Stone officiating. A public Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Tom was born in Shepherd, MI on September 27, 1943, the son of Carl and Pearle (Phelps) McClintic. He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1961. On September 11, 1965, Tom married Vivian C. Woodcock at the First United Methodist Church, St. Louis, MI. They celebrated 54 years of marriage last fall.

Tom liked playing fast-pitch softball, bowling, camping, and gardening. He enjoyed watching the Tigers. Tom loved his time spent with family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandson Brandon play sports and granddaughter Phoebe dance.

Tom worked for the Alma Housing Commission for 27 years. He enjoyed his co-workers and loved having coffee with the residents.

Tom is survived by wife Vivian McClintic of St. Louis; 3 daughters: Janice (John) Hariadi of Annapolis, MD; Barb Fandell of Alma, MI; Sheri (Dan) Maxim of Castle Rock, CO; grandson Brandon Fandell and granddaughter Phoebe Hassell; brother Harold (Pauline) McClintic; sister Janice Jourdain; brother Jack (Bonnie) McClintic; and sister-in-law Betteann McClintic.  He is also survived by Vivian's family: Bernice Peska, Elvin (Gloria) Woodcock, Virginia Woodcock, Marvin (Helen) Woodcock, Marilyn (John) Lehmkuhle; and many nieces and nephews.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Carl McClintic, Leah (Forest) Stone, Dale (Betty) McClintic, Ruth (Bernard) Woodcock, Joyce (Maynard) Giles, and Thelma (Larry) Sopel; brother-in-law John Jourdain, and Vivian's family: William Peska, Estella (Dale) Howd, Fredrick Woodcock.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Louis Recreation Baseball and Softball Association (mail to c/o Greg Beeson 406 Seaman St., St. Louis, MI 48880).
