Thomas George Raycraft Sr. age 84 of Breckenridge, Michigan died Thursday, May 26, 2005 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 28, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate with burial at Wright Cemetery, Alma, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Thomas was born in Alma, MI on October 22, 1920 the son of George Richard and Hallie Augusta ( Cline ) Raycraft. He attended Country School in Alma, MI, and he has been a lifelong resident of the area. Thomas married Mary Ann Garrison on June 11, 1971 in Atlanta, Georgia. He retired from Michigan Chemical on October 18, 1978 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, raising his beagles, and reading his Bible. He was a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Raycraft of Breckenridge, MI, son Thomas Raycraft Jr. of Alma, MI, daughters; Ruth & Hubert Armstrong of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary & Bill Dickman of St. Louis, MI, Debra & Marvin Robinson of Mishawaka, IN, step-daughter Janice & Mike Richards of North Carolina, step-sons; Ray Sweany of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Bill & Judi Sweany of Saginaw, MI, brother Robert & Micky Raycraft of Kalamazoo, MI, sister Gaila Sipe of Lansing, MI, 10 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, & 2 stepbrothers Don & Forrest Basinger.
