Todd Mills

Todd Everett “Ebert” “Toodles” Mills, 45, of Sumner, MI, passed away Sunday, May 22, in Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, Michigan, on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Terri Bentley officiating.  Burial will take place at Wright Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Todd was born on August 31, 1970 in Alma, MI.  Todd graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1988. During school he participated in baseball as a pitcher, football as a tight end and a punter, and he also played golf.  He played summer league softball, and was an umpire for girls and boys softball.  After graduating high school he went on to try out for the Cincinnati Reds as a pitcher for their minor league team.  He had worked for American Striping, Costal Striping, Hitachi, Towers, truck driver and most recently had been working at Michigan Paving in Alma.

Todd enjoyed all sports, hunting, fishing, texas hold'em, cribbage and partying with his friends and family.  He was very competitive in anything he did.  It was rare for Todd to go somewhere and not know someone; he was a very friendly person and always had a smile on his face.  He loved spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children; Grant (Ali) Mills, Annikka, grandchildren; Drew and Charlee Mills, mother and father Karen and William Mills Jr., father Dale and Aleena Davenport Jr., siblings; Billy Mills III, Renee and Lorenzo Garcia, Laurie Davenport, Pat and Heather Farr, Shaun and Jessica Davenport, Jennifer and Greg Lewis, Chris and Tina Farr, Seth (Maddie) Davenport. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents; Art and Kathryn Courter, Dale and Geneva Davenport Sr., William and Arnieta Mills Sr. and uncle Butch Courter Jr.
