Tony Joseph Fabus Sr. age 76 of Elsie, Michigan died Monday, May 17, 2004 at Ovid Healthcare Center in Ovid, Michigan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday May 21, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Cyrila�(TM)s Catholic Church in Bannister, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be Wednesday May 19, 2004 6-8 P.M. & Thursday May 20, 2004 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Home, Elsie Chapel Rosary will be Thursday Evening at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
Tony was born on June 3, 1927 in Elsie, Michigan, the son of Steve & Mary ( Marton ) Fabus. He married Rose Winkler on July 5, 1947 at St. Cyrila�(TM)s Catholic Church in Bannister, Michigan. Tony worked for Midland Ross Corporation in Owosso, Michigan for a few years. His life work was farming which he enjoyed very much. He also enjoyed hunting & driving around looking at deer and crops. He was a member of St. Cyrila�(TM)s Catholic Church in Bannister, MI and a member of the F.C.S.U. Lodge of Bannister, MI. He resided all of his life in the Elsie area.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Fabus of Elsie, MI, 4 sons Tony J. & Toni Fabus of Elsie, MI, Stephen & Marcia Fabus of Elsie, MI, Michael & Kim Fabus of Elsie, MI, Matthew Fabus Sr. of Elsie, MI, 2 daughters, Rosemary & John Houska of Elsie, MI, Mary Ann & John Davidson of Lansing, MI, grandchildren; Ryan Fabus, Nickolas Fabus, Jacob Fabus, Michael Fabus Jr., Jason Houska, Matthew Fabus Jr., Marcie Houska, Kaitlyn Fabus, & Michaela Fabus, all of Elsie, MI, Mitchell Fabus & Paige Patrick of St. Johns, MI, Casey Davidson, Lindsay Davidson, & Ashley Davidson, all of Lansing, MI, 2 sister; Josephine & John Cubr of Howell, MI, Mary Ludwick & Steve of Farwell, MI, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Frank & Gerry Winkler of Elsie, MI, sisters-in-law; Josephine Hain of Owosso, MI, Ann Petru of Chesaning, MI, Helen Vanek of Ashley, Mary Fabus of Elsie, MI, Helen Fabus of Elsie, MI, brother-in-law, Joe Beno Sr. & Marie Schreiner of Elsie, MI, and many nieces and nephews.
