Tony H. Seaman

January 17, 1955 — April 2, 2025

Sumner

Tony H. Seaman, age 70, of Sumner, MI, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
Graveside Service will be held at Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, Michigan at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday April 12, 2025. Immediately following, there will be a Celebration of Tony's Life at the Elm Hall Conservation Club.
Tony was born in Alma, Michigan on January 17, 1955, the youngest of seven children born to Otis Harvey and Yvonne Caroline (Kirby) Seaman. He graduated from Ithaca High School with the Class of 1973. He resided all his life in Sumner. On November 10, 1973, Tony married Carol Sue Cojocar in Alma, Michigan. They were blessed with fifty-one years of marriage. They had two sons: Jerry (Jeanette) Seaman, and Marty (Aimee) Seaman; seven grandchildren: Dylan, Dawson, Dalton, Delaney, Morgan (Darren), Mason, and Colton; and a great-grandson Oaklen.
Having been born into a farming family, Tony learned to be a hard worker at an early age and that trait stuck with him all of his life. He was a hydraulic specialist for Morbark Industries for 25 years. Tony was very knowledgeable and knew how to fix most anything. If anyone had a question, they knew that he was the one to call. He was always willing to help.
Tony took great pride in the home he built for his family. Over the years, he added the pond and campground. He found great joy in providing a place for friends and family to gather and make memories; he made sure no one else had to tend to the bonfire. Through the years he liked to water ski, fish, ride quads, and play cards. Most of all, he loved camping with friends and family.
He is also survived by his sister Kay (Dave) Macha; his brother Ricky (Sherrie) Seaman; sisters-in-law: Rose Seaman, and Sue Olson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Jerry Seaman and Denny Seaman; and sisters: Vicky Law and Terry Gee.
