Velma M. ( Bring ) Neuenfeldt age 96 of St. Louis, Michigan died Monday, September 27, 2004 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 11:00 A.M.at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Rev. Nancy Casey Fulton will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2004 6-8 P.M.
Velma was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on February 11, 1908 the daughter of Edward V. & Ethel Viola ( Scramlin ) Haney. Velma married Virgil Bring on November 10, 1928 in Clare, Michigan and then William Neuenfeldt on March 26, 1981in Lasufcus, Nevada. Both of her husbands preceded her in death.
Velma retired in 1963 from Gaya�(TM)s 5 & 10 Store in St. Louis, MI. She loved to dance, and was known as one of the "dancing queens". She also enjoyed family genealogy, crafting, and her doll collection. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan and was a member First Methodist Church in St. Louis, MI.
She is survived by her brother Clyde & Pat Haney of Houghton Lake, MI, 3 sisters; Josephine Timmer of Lansing, MI, Kathryn Jones of Millbrook, MI, Pauline Bunker of Shepherd, MI, several nieces and nephews, step daughter Karla & Barry Tessin of Hemlock, MI, step daughter Marlin & Ron Artecki of Alma, MI, 3 step sons; Norm & Joan Neuenfeldt of Hemlock, MI, Ervin & Marjorie Neuenfeldt of Merrill, MI, Jerry Neuenfeldt of Hemlock, MI, and many step grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, 2 husbands, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
Memorials may be made to Central Michigan Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel, 117 North East Street, St. Louis, Michigan 48880.
