Veola Reed

Veola Mazie Reed, age 71, of Sumner, MI died Saturday, July 13th, 2013 at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland, MI. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca chapel on Saturday, July 20th at 1:00 P.M.
Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday one hour prior to service time.

Veola was born in Michigan on February 9, 1942, the daughter of Goldie (Welch) Reed. She was a lifelong resident of Ithaca and retired from Masonic Home as a CNA after 18 years. She had also worked for Wolverine Worldwide. Veola liked traveling, sewing, quilting, puzzles, crafts, and crocheting. Her favorite pasttime was playing solitaire.

She is survived by her brother L.E. and Helen Reed of Mt. Pleasant, MI; sister Lila VanHorn of Ithaca, MI; nieces and nephews Wanda and Mark Johnson of Ithaca, MI; L.E. and Sue Reed Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Carolyn Wolfgang of Remus, MI; Jeff and Cathy Reed of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Tina and Bill Maynard of Weidman, MI; Leon Reed of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Jim and Kim VanHorn of Ithaca, MI; and many great and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
