Vera Wells

Vera Louise Wells age 89 of St. Louis, MI died Monday, June 13, 2005 at McKellers Assisted Living St. Louis, MI.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 11:00 AM at United Methodist Church St. Louis, MI. Pastor Lillian French will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 from 5-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Vera was born in Midland County, MI on October 7, 1915 the daughter of Arie Peter and Mabel Estella ( Emmons ) Miller. She was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, MI and attended St. Louis Public Schools. Vera married Norman F. Wells on August 6, 1934. He preceded her on February 18, 1991. Vera was a devout christian and philathropist to people both at home and abroad. She knitted hundreds of pairs of mittens for the Salvation Army and newborn hats for Gratot Community Hopital. She was a member of the Breckenridge Order of Eastern Star. She had a great love for her family and church United Methodist Church of St. Louis, MI.
She is survived by 2 daughters Kay & Bob Oa�(TM)Boyle of Kalamazoo, MI. Kathleen Vandestreek of Louisville, KY, 1 son Roger & Kay Wells of Gulliver, MI, 9 grandchildren; Michael Oa�(TM)Boyle, Brian O'Boyle, Cathleen Smith, Andrew O'Boyle, Toni Lucia, Lisa Sinko, Jeff Wells, Grant Vandestreek, Cheryl Vandestreek, 15 great grandchildren, sister Ardis Miller of St. Louis, MI, and sister-in-law Katheryn Wells of St. Louis, MI. She is predeceased by her husband, 4 brothers Louis, Clare, Rollen, and Lyle Miller and sister Crystal Cooper.
Memorials may be made to St. Louis United Methodist Church or Gratiot Area Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel
