Verna Jeanne (Howell) Most, age 81, of St. Louis, MI died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 after a brief illness.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Phil Maxwell officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Elwell, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Verna was born in St. Louis, MI on March 8, 1932, the daughter of Vern Joseph and Emma Elizabeth (Swan) Howell. She married Wilbur P. Most on November 27, 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2001. Verna formerly worked for Dr. Richard Dillsworth in Alma, MI. She attended St. Louis First Baptist Church St. Louis, MI.

Verna is survived by 2 daughters; Marsha and Donald Loudenbeck of Lakeland, TN and Deborah and Edward Dean of Saginaw, MI, grandchildren; Steffanie and Jason Holst of Lakeland, TN, Jeremy and Kim Loudenbeck of Arlington, TN, Christopher and Amanda Loudenbeck of Atoka, TN and Ashlee (Dean) and Michael Thompson of Glencoe, IL, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Vera Taylor and Sarah Johnson, both of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, Verna was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Joe, Jim and Don and 6 sisters; Helen, Dorothy, Eileen, Georgiana, Kathrine and Fern.
