Vernon Harger

Vernon Harger, age 84, passed away on June 10, 2012 in Alma, Michigan. Vernon was born in St. Johns, Michigan the son of Frank and Mae (Taylor) Harger on March 27, 1927. Vernon married Beverly Carter in Angola, Indiana on July 9, 1949 and she preceded him in death on August 29, 2000.

He is survived by his daughters, Rose (Patrick) Wilcox, and Debbie Moore; sons, Ron (Bonnie), Dale (Linda), Wayne (Joanne Querio) and Warren (Kimberly) Harger; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Vernon is also survived by his sister, Imogene Beck and brothers Edwin and Roy (Deloris) Harger and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Along with his parents and wife, Vernon was preceded in death by his sons, Ricky and Gale, and grand daughters, Cindy, Cassandra and Jennifer.

Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Osgood Funeral Home at 104 Cass St. in St. Johns with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating with burial following the service at Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Sympathy will be expressed in a donation to his family's choice. The family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Home.
