Veronica Kiel

Veronica I. Kiel, died March 23, 2010, at the age of 89. Born May 16, 1920 in DuBois, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Tumosa) Strouse. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and worked at Kiels Sunshine Center for 10 years. She married Melvin Kiel on November 27, 1937 and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1979.

Veronica is survived by her grandchildren, Richard Kiel and Barry (Shannon) Kiel, all of St. Johns, and Kristin (Doug) Richardson of El Reno, OK, 13 great grandchildren, Michael Sillman, Nicholas Hof, Erin, Brian, Ben and Lily Richardson, Emily, Connor, Duncan, John, Brendan, Aubrey, and Evan Kiel. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Richard and Melvin "Bud" Kiel, sister, Mary Reasinger, five brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Francis, Vincent and Paul Strouse and daughter in law, Delores Weatherwax.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Church of DuBois, PA. The Family will receive friends at 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday, March 26 at the Osgood Funeral Home at 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns. Rosary will be at 7 pm Friday evening.
