Victor Rasmussen

Victor Rasmussen, age 74, of Edmore, MI went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Spectrum Health-Kelsey Memorial Hospital, Lakeview, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Faith United Methodist Church Edmore, MI on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Michael Riegler officiating. Burial will take place at Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 11 A.M. -1 P.M. at the church.

Vic was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 20, 1940, the son of Earl Peter and Lois (Rolston) Rasmussen. He graduated from Edmore High School with the class of 1958. Vic married Doris Christensen on May 13, 1964 in Germany; she preceded him in death on September 3, 1998. He then married Joan Burt on March 13, 2003 in Edmore, MI.

Vic was a lifelong resident of Edmore. He retired from the State of Michigan Correctional Facility in Carson City. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Vic was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed traveling, going north to the casinos, and gardening. His true love was spending time with his family at the lake on the pontoon. Vic was a member of Edmore Faith United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Joan Rasmussen of Edmore, MI, daughter Cheryl and Chad Main of Blanchard, MI, stepdaughter Kriss Walcutt and family of Texas, and 2 granddaughters; Carisa and Cirsten Main of Blanchard, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Doris Rasmussen.
