Victoria Mentus age 93 of Ashley, Michigan died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Hazel Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 3-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 6:00 P.M.

Victoria was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 12, 1914 the daughter of John and Anna ( Dymek ) Kostuck. She resided most of her life in Ashley, Michigan. Victoria married Francis Mentus on October 31, 1936 at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI. He died on May 13, 2000. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed gardening. Victoria was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI.

She is survived by 2 sons; Frank & Millie Mentus of Owosso, MI, Jack & Kay Mentus of DeWitt, MI, sister-in-law Sally Mentus of St. Charles, MI, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 6 step great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, 1 son Robert, 1 great granddaughter Lauryn, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Memorials may be made to St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
